My Essentials

About me
I am Andreas. Most people know me as someone who travels a lot, is constantly starting new projects and is always on the lookout for the next exciting impulse. That's all true - but the truth is: I just love to get things rolling. Not because I want to prove something, but because I enjoy turning an idea into something real.
HERB WORLD is exactly that: my personal playground. This is where everything that inspires me, keeps me busy or sometimes just won't let go ends up. New products, trips, projects. I don't have a magic formula for success. I just know that if you're really interested in something, you'll automatically become good at it. And if you're lucky, you'll infect others at some point.

How it all began
Watches have been with me for a long time. I loved wearing them, was interested in them and tried out new models time and time again.
At some point, the idea came to me: Why not make my own?
HERB WATCHES is a creative balance for me - something that is not a must, but a must. That's how the first four models came about: inspired by travel, by summer, by the feeling of being on the move and still keeping an eye on the time.
The project is growing, the feedback is great - and every watch still crosses my desk today. Because it's a project close to my heart. The next models? Already being planned.

Work life blending
For me, there is no clear distinction between work and life. Both belong together, both influence each other. I work a lot - but above all I enjoy it. And that makes all the difference.
Many ideas are born on the road - on the return flight, in the hotel room, at dinner with customers who have long since become friends. Or at the finca on Mallorca, where I can get away from it all and clear my head for new projects at the same time.
"Love what you do" is not a slogan for me, but a principle.
If you are really interested, you automatically become good. And if you keep at it, you'll achieve more than you could have imagined.
Love what you do!
An entrepreneurial journey

1990
It all started with a disco
To be honest, the disco thing started on a whim. My girlfriend at the time had been giving me the horns - and my boys wanted to distract me somehow. So the idea came up: let's open our own disco. Totally crazy, actually, but that's how it is The factory was born - in the middle of Paderborn. I was one of seven partners and directly took care of the bar and all the drinks stuff. That was my start. That was the first time I realized how much fun it is not just to sell something - but to create a place that sticks with people.

1992
End of work, trunk, let's go
I was still training as a banker when I started delivering beer after work. SOL Mexican Beer - a product that I had discovered on Mallorca and wanted to get my hands on. The factory wanted to bring to Die Fabrik. So I just got started. I organized a few pallets, loaded up the car and off I went. My old Golf Moda with 55 hp was my first logistics center. The customers came quickly: Monockel, Rizz, OX, Playa... The idea was good. The demand was there. And I was suddenly right in the middle of it.

1993
First company of my own
A year later, I got down to business. I founded my own company: p.o.s. marketing + vertrieb GmbH. That was on October 13, 1993 - and basically the birth of what MBG is today. I had no structure, no investors, but a clear plan and a lot of energy. I wanted to build a distribution company that thought differently. Closer to the scene, quicker to act, more direct in its approach. That's how we started - with a small office in Hövelhof and a telephone.
